I don’t get it. Just because you’re the SOS doesn’t mean you automatically get a top secret clearance. Nor does a top secret clearance mean you get to see anything you want. For her to have info on spy satellites she would have to prove she had a “need to know”.

Actually, it does. The approval authority is an executive power and the POTUS can grant clearance regardless of policy. Department Heads are also original classification authorities (OCAs) and can independently determine declassification.

This administration has regularly and repeatedly disseminated (previously) classified materials that have resulted in material losses and have been proven detrimental to national security. Political gains are more important than OPSEC—operational security.
