In my view Dave Taylor couldn’t be more correct.
Using basic hydraulics the water accumulating at approximately 500 gpm means approximately 720,000 gal per day accumulate. The head pressure accumulates at .434 PSI per foot or as he stated 1 PSI per each 2.31 feet.
Would be interesting to know how many days of accumulation there were. It means the EPA estimate of a 3 million gallon spill is probably bogus depending where the rupture took place and the millions and millions of gallons that could have accumulated.
