I agree it’s impressive. I have a few relatives/in laws who are quite heavy. One is even a high school science teacher. The biggest behavior I see that led to them gain weight (they were slim when younger) is constantly eating-especially at night.
My thyroid is over active, so prior to knowing about it,I ate throughout the day and maintained a normal weight. I fell and got a concussion this winter and was off my feet for about a week. During that time I could eat only when my family brought me food. I didn’t want to ask for it constantly so I ended up eating three big meals a day rather than snacking. I lost a pound a day. The only difference was how often I was eating.
Breaking the habit now that I’m on anti-thyroid meds is tough. Haven’t done it yet and I’ve put on a few pounds.
I lost a pound a day.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
