Firestorm erupts over Trump's 'Bible connection'
WND ^ | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 08/11/2015 10:43:47 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

A Christian minister in Florida has ignited a firestorm over his suggestion that God is using Donald Trump as a divine instrument in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

In a column published in Charisma magazine, Jeremiah Johnson of Behold the Man Ministries in Lakeland, Florida, said he was praying several weeks ago “when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America:”

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

Moses also was a man who had trouble speaking, and the burning bush commanding him to deliver the Israelites was his first acquaintance with God.

God told Moses to take his brother Aaron, who debated well, and was of a priestly class. And to go down to Old Pharaoh, and tell him to let the people go. /noob post

I don’t think Trump is God’s candidate

Except...

the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men. (Dan 4:17b)

For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. (Rom 13:1b)

Oh that’s funny..Trump also reminded me of Nebuchadnezzar early on...so i was waiting to see...so posted the other day about it and now here before IThe two do reflect one another in their station of life etc...Trump surely acknowledges God as did Neb ..and he too was bombastic about his successes....still God had a heart for Him...and certainly the story is worth the reading to see the similarities.

I think the God of the Bible, that Trump has yet to really meet,...has plans on this road to reveal himself...after all look at the Christians around Him!

And "you hear she did a porn video"? You hear?>

Google videos has nothing. And trust me, I dug deep. Not leaving any stone unturned on this one.

Please cite the exact quote where Trump said what you allege.

I don't think the quote was verbatim but Trump did refuse to say that he had ever asked God for forgiveness. Draw whatever conclusion you will, but it was a strange question. I forget who was asking the question.

Trump really needs to parlay this new fan base into a full blown cult.

Or some folks put words in his mouth. I believe he is a lukewarm Christian, at best, after reviewing what he said. At least, he is honest. Unlike Obama who lied to us.

If a woman can trust her husband why would I trust him with my country?
I didn't know you were privy to all the inside personal information of Donald Trump and the reasons for his divorces...Or maybe, for some reason, you're just pretending you know?

Jesus said “Judge not lest ye be judged.”

Buit he also said, “Judge righteous judgment.”

So He wanted us to balance them out.

Given what I see in opost #86 and in other posts on this thread, Trump does not seem to be Godly at all.

Amen !!!

I got the same sense in the spirit a few weeks ago.

I do believe that many Bible believing Christians are getting the same message personally.

Before God does something, he will send his prophets and messengers first to sound the alarm.

Blow ye Trumpet in Zion, sound thee alarm in God’s holy mountain.

‘’I have due respect for the platform,’’ Mr. Dole said. ‘’I read a lot of parts that I thought were essential.

I distinctly recall Dole being asked about the abortion plank and he replied no one ever reads the platform.

King Cyrus was a pagon heathen King who did not recognize the God of Israel, but yet God used him to free the Jewish nation from captivity.

What the article does NOT say:

1. Donald Trump will be the next U.S. president.
2. Donald Trump will be the GOP nominee.
3. That I (Jeremiah Johnson) personally support and endorse Donald Trump’s personal moral decisions or anything he has publicly said regarding politics (including the past).
4. Donald Trump is a devout Christian and His life aligns with biblical principles.

What the article does say:

1. Donald Trump is going to be used by God as a trumpet in America to expose darkness and perversion.
2. Christians must look past/through his bantering and listen for the truth that God is going to make known through him.
3. God can use anyone He chooses to fulfill His purposes and plans in the earth. Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, the Jews who crucified Jesus, or Donald Trump among many.

Trump is no Jesus. I think people he’s more like Sampson. Push the two pillars down and destroy the establishment.

It’s so interesting seeing throughout scripture God always seemed to use those least expected.....David to Paul and all the other stories of men and woman he chose...which man never would have anticipated nor did they even when they were told ahead of time...Jesus himself we’d do well to consider in his rise.

Me I care because I am asking the question. You don’t care and don’t want to know the answer, because the answer might not fit you narrative that or all his ex’s are GOPe.
