I don’t give Fox the credit of believing it was about issues. I think it was about making themselves the story. By attacking Republicans (remember they asked Jeb a gotcha question too) they cement their bona fides as a “legitimate” news organization with the rest of the drive by media. More importantly it gets people talking about the Fox hosts. Anyone who didn’t know who Megyn Kelly is surely does now.
