Trump on ISIS: 'I would knock the hell out of them,' and then 'I'd take the oil for our country'

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Monday he supported the use of US ground troops to fight Islamic State militants in the Middle East.

Speaking on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, the billionaire businessman said it would take American soldiers to target the militant group, also known as ISIS or ISIL.

"They have great money because they have oil," Trump said. "Every place where they have oil I would knock the hell out of them.

"I would knock out the source of their wealth, the primary sources of their wealth, which is oil," he told MSNBC. "And in order to do that, you would have to put boots on the ground. I would knock the hell out of them, but I'd put a ring around it and I'd take the oil for our country."

And probably IS anything.. literally..
He believes in Donald and has “shrines”.. to him..
Like the Romans would worship a Burrito if you called it God..

An American Caesar and that’s his purpose. One way or another Trump gets us to a dictatorship.

The one thing he’s done is help conservatives like Walker and Cruz look like centrists. The fact that Fiorina and Carson, two definite RINOs (who I like for many reasons) are zooming up tells you that the ‘conservative’ electorate that is supporting them are emotional and not logical.

I agree. It’s about their power or piece of the pie.

It’s not stealing. It’s a fine. It’s also not too dissimilar to what we did to Germany after WW2. (Yes, WW2). There was a thread here on FR earlier today with newspaper clippings of the time (1945), some of which referenced this.

Maybe we should throw in a lot of good arms (to the Kurds) and fertility pills, while also making an agreement that in return for the new land / resources, they ease off on Turkey.

...attaching their assets for perpetuity...

Oh, I think we can get most of it pumped out in 20 years. Probably much less, if we set our minds to it.

(How long did we, for all intents and purposes, control German and Japanese assets after WW2? Did that make us Fascists?) Granted, a deal with the Kurds does make more sense to me.

This is what he said about the Iraq war in his book:

“We should take the oil. And here’s why: because the Iraqis won’t be able to keep it themselves. Their military, even as we try to rebuild it, is incompetent, and the minute we leave, Iran will take over Iraq and its great oil reserves, the second largest after Saudi Arabia. If that happens, all of our brave men and women will have died in vain and $1.5 trillion will have been squandered. So, if Iran is going to take over the oil, I say we take over the oil first by hammering out a cost-sharing plan with Iraq. If we protect and control the oil fields, Iraq will get to keep a good percentage of its oil—not to mention its independence from Iran—and we will recoup some of the cost of liberating the Iraqis and also pay back the nations that fought with us in the war. And I want to repay the families of the soldiers who died or were terribly wounded. Of course, nothing can ever replace a lost life or a lost limb, but we can send the children of dead or badly wounded veterans to college, provide compensation to the spouses of our service members killed in Iraq, and make sure that wounded veterans are properly looked after. It’s common sense, and peanuts compared to what is lying under Iraq’s land. Each American family who lost a loved one in Iraq should be given $5 million, and our wounded veterans should be given money, perhaps $2 million each plus medical costs. Call me old school, but I believe in the old warrior’s credo that “to the victor go the spoils.” In other words, we don’t fight a war, hand over the keys to people who hate us, and leave. We win a war, take the oil to repay the financial costs we’ve incurred, and in so doing, treat Iraq and everybody else fairly.”

In other words, what Bush should have done, instead of putting Paul the Pussy Bremer in place to f**k over our boys with kinder-gentler ROEs, and nation build. It's not "fascist". It's imperialist. In other words what China is doing in kicking our economic ass all over the world. Trump gets that.

Actually, your wrong, wrong from the very start of the definition.
Facism is a governmental system led by a DICTATOR having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
Think Mussolini in Italy 1922–43. Trump is NOT a Dictator, would not have complete power, and in fact would delegate to the military, would work in harmony with the Congress and Senate to suppress ISIS or ISIL, and recover the costs for our soldiers and our military, thereby giving, eventually, the oil fields back to the Iraqi people.

Trump is speaking strength.

Trump is talking about military strength.

Trump is talking financial strength.

Trump is talking trade and treaty strength. After all, the guy wrote, The Art of the Deal.

Trump actually has a plan to deal with our immigration problem. First, build the damn fence!

Yeah, he's brash and self assured. Fine with me. Trump is talking about a strong America - like we used to be. Remember when America was kick ass, the strongest kid on the block? My relatives fought in WWI, WWII and Vietnam to fight for freedom and combat tyranny. Now by God, we have soft tyranny Obama and the Republicans refuse to do a damn thing. I'm absolutely mad as hell about all of this. Are you?

Trump isn't channeling Mussolini. He's channeling Patton, and doing a damn good job.

Ollie North had a great Five Point Plan to deal with ISIS tonight on Hannity. You don't think Trump will listen to Ollie, and other outstanding military minds? Trump is used to dealing with consultants, attorneys and experts in various fields. The absolute best. He will have a competent mature adult cabinet (wouldn't that be nice - get rid of the academics, socialists, communists and bye bye PC) and the best experts he can find advising him. That's what he does.

Do you all remember Reagan's first day in office? I sure do. The world knew we now had a kick ass President and Iran gave up the hostages.

America is totally fed up with the beltway uniparty and the socialist/communists that run things now. And you think Trump is a risk after Obama? You've got to be kidding! Eight more years of Obama, and we're Zimbabwe.

Hey, any dems reading this? Do you want your grandkids to have a chance to ever get a job? Want them saddled with 220 Trillion National unfunded liabilities Debt? Want them to have fear going out at night? To be free? To experience any semblance of freedom and liberty? Choked with diversity, regulations and taxes? Broke and living with you staring at their phone all day, playing video games, depressed and abusing alcohol and drugs? Then go ahead, vote for Sanders or Clinton.

Make America Great Again? Sounds good to me. Anyone have any better ideas. . . or nominees? Yeah, I love Cruz and would love to see

or

Cruz/Trump 2016!

Hell, I don't care, I just want someone who will DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!! I know Trump and/or Cruz will Do Something!

Thanks for plowing through my rant. .

If some Freepers would spend half the time researching and investigating, with an open mind, as they spend attacking those who have researched it would be a very different place.
