Someone help me...I have always thought the "blood coming from eyes" idiom was from the horned toad...

Mountain View

Where in the world did the "menstruation thing" come from?

Because everyone knows that ",wherever" is code for the flow of menses.

Try to keep up. ;)

Glenn Beck has used that saying for years. OFTEN saying he was SOOO angered by something that he had blood spurting from his eyes.

His other figure of speech was that his head had exploded or was about to. He’s used both of them, OFTEN.

It came from his fumbling the ending and instead of completing the old hyperbolic suggestion of apoplectic rage “...eyes and nose” or leaving it hanging and trying to force a segue “...eyes and . . . . whatever!” instead saying “...eyes and . . . wherever”, so that the always sex-minded left could fill in another body part to go with eyes.

I think some humorists should weigh in on the matter and denounce Trump for promulgating the false belief that anger results from an excess of blood, when it is well known that it is caused by an excess of bile.
