This was a debate which meant a lot to us. Megyn Kelly had a chance for greatness if she could channel her inner Jeane Kirkpatrick or Margaret Thatcher. Instead, she opted to channel her inner Natalie Maines. One unfortunate result, was that later, when Kurtz was interviewing Wallace and Baier, Wallace and Baier enthusiastically backed Kelly 100 per cent.

It reminded me of Family Feud where a family member would give an answer so stupid that everyone would cringe. Nevertheless, the others would say “good answer, good answer.” One of the downsides of political correctness is that stupidity has to be praised. While Wallace is a twit, I still actually felt sorry that competent men like Kurtz and Baier had to defend Kelly.

Even worse, most journalists and talking heads praised Fox and Kelly.

Not Levin. He called it the National Enquirer debate and an insult to American citizens.

Also, not Peter Roff who called Kelly’s performance much as you did.

More Noise Than Light
The crowded stage couldn’t hide Trump’s political acumen or Megyn Kelly’s flubs.

Notice in the url how a decision was made to change the headline.

Howard Kurtz is a liberal and Brett Baier is a sneak. Baier was all in for Thursday night’s fiasco. He reminds me of a media version of Florina.
