You gotta understand why Donald Trump is getting the strong support he has ( even though I personally am wary about his so-called conservative credentials ).
Trump represents the ordinary folks who are tired of being called SEXIST, BIGOTS, HOMOPHOBEs, etc. for simply holding on to their traditional beliefs.
In other words, to many voters, Trump sounds like you-and-me. The fact that he REFUSES to capitulate and apologize only ENDEARS him to these people and there are MILLIONS of them.
Trump gives voice to their silent frustrations.
The moment Trump turns into a wimpy, groveling puppy dog is the moment he loses steam.
You are seriously suggesting that a candidate drop out of the race for saying "wherever", whereupon the media filled in the blank with scurvy suppositions? You think the Republican party that has sold us out by sitting passively by and ignoring their duties should be "helped" by Donald Trump, who is the first public figure to emerge with the money, power and intelligence to demand their accountablity?
