I think it would be foolish for Trump to pledge not to run third party. That would give the GOPe chance to dis-invite him from debates for some little thing he says, much like Erick Erickson did at Red State.
Trump can always break his pledge citing it. Much ado about nothing. Trump will make the pledge when it suits him the best.
