The fact that Trump is being attacked so relentlessly by the left and GOP establishment tells me everything I need to know for now. Trump is upsetting the apple cart, and those in power don’t like it. Why on earth should anyone support a go-along, get-along candidate akin to Boehner or McConnell?

Ted Cruz is the most conservative candidate, but he must step up his game if he hopes to win. The GOP-e doesn’t want Cruz as the nominee either, but he hasn’t yet shown that he can fight like Trump to wrest away control from the party apparatchik.

The GOP-e wants someone in the uniparty tradition, such as Jeb! Anyone not of that ilk will be shut out.

I think Cruz is pacing himself to prevent overexposure burnout. We’re already starting to see a little of that with Trump who the press rambles on about constantly. If you watched Cruz for anytime now, you know he’s a strategist and is calculating. I believe he will surge when its time.
