“By the way, I did vote for Perot.”

People must always vote their conscience, never for a party or ‘leader’. The politicians must accede to our values and agenda not us to them. I can’t stand the party identity talk or the reasoning ‘if you don’t hold your nose and vote for so-and-so we’ll get worse so-and-so...’. How about making politicians respect us as in ‘if you don’t represent Americans’ best interests you don’t get the votes’. It’s about us -not them.

The longer the American electorate supports the ‘our guy’ voting rationale the closer we get to being ruled by a ‘Dear Leader’ ‘El Maximo’, Generalissimo, etc.

Thank you and totally agree. The problem I see is that most Americans think they are political strategists. LOL
