The first GOP primary debate of the year, hosted by Fox News and moderated by three of their best, kicked off in headline-grabbing style when the moderator team backed candidate Donald Trump into a corner about the possibility of running on a third-party ticket.
But the attacks didnt stop there. Out of the six questions that Trump was asked, most of them were nothing more than thinly veiled attacks in what conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested was a targeted effort by the GOP establishment to slam the brakes on Trumps momentum.
While Limbaugh had reported that there was a strong possibility that big-time Republican donors had ordered to take out Donald Trump, he and most others assumed the attackers would be Trumps fellow candidates.
But when the debate wrapped up, he explained that Fox News was the real hit man.

I’d like Trump to put the establishment in their place and answer every attack with answers that shut them up. His words in the debate didn’t work that way.
If he’d go 3rd party, he should smart up on his answers. Going for the personal jugular, he’d get the vote of some, but he risks losing much needed votes.
Trump is liked or passionately disliked. He can’t afford to do this half-apt.
In fact, why do we even need moderators?
Why not have a huge list of questions that are presented one by one on a screen? Randomize it. Then randomize the candidate list and have them answer the same question one after another. Give them 30 seconds and cut their microphone at 35 seconds. Repeat with next question.
GET RID OF MODERATORS
This is the technology age. They are not needed.
Friday, Trump went after all the Fox program folks. He included Greta in his personal slams.
until this joke of a debate, I thought the GOP should never give CNN, MSNBC or others any debates. Have them all on FOX with their much larger viewership and with their fair and balanced presentation..... I was very wrong.
FOX is a cheapened down, shadow version of itself from 15 years ago.
This is why I believe it is strange when some of Trump’s fan base defend him as if he were a precious snowflake or pampered child. Imagine Donald Trump as a John Wayne like character needing to be protected by the gentlefolk of the town. I really don’t think he needs the protection. His defenders might be the ones who are damaging Trump’s reputation as a tough guy.
> “Whatever his intentions were, she got the opportunity to get her ***message*** about Hillary out, and she did.”
It’s not the ***message***, it’s the ***messenger***.
Fiorina is but one of millions that could have gotten the ‘message’ out about Hillary. Fiorina is not unique nor is she talented. There are tens of thousands of writers that can write a conservative sounding script that serves as red meat to conservatives.
Fiorina is a fraud. She is also a paid for shill by the establishment.
And if you really want to know her character, just search her reputation at HP. She was fired, she stiffed people, did not keep her promises, arranged for her to siphon off more than $100 million without merit. She’s Hillary with a conservative script writer.
Rand Paul is exactly the same as Fiorina. They could be fraternal twins. Want to see evidence of Paul’s weasel like corruption? Here you go:
And when you do your homework on Fiorina you will find the same type of character defects only in a different setting.
These frauds are banking on people like you who don’t pay attention to the details and only hear their scripted ‘message’. I don’t blame people like you because there’s too much information to digest and the narrative scripts for these frauds are written by writers skilled in the art of seduction. In my case I have learned to not take to heart anything a person says, but rather what they do and what they have done. I am always willing to give people a pass on past performance as long as I see current performance and solid reasoning for how things will be different in the future.
Ted Cruz lays out perfectly what all the above is describing in this few minutes of audio:

Those bashing Trump and defending FOX would be singing an entirely different tune if Cruz had received the same treatment by Megyn Kelly and the other “Moderators” last Thursday during the debate.
As another poster observed; if you’re going to excuse Kelly’s outrageous behavior, then you’d better also excuse Candy Crowley when she moderated the GOP debates!
The hypocrisy with some here is glaring! Sad watching FReepers carry the MSM and GOPe’s water.
Rand Paul had to do something to get some traction on his campaign....Trump was an easy target and would get the viewership he’s failed to get otherwise...
Like Hollywood celebrities....Bad Press or good doesn’t matter as long as you get your face in the publics eye.
Reminder......it is said that one of the moderators coming up is the CEO of the Company Trump just sued.....talk about stacking the deck!
The media couldn’t even take out GWB,a known DWI offender...not even with fake but accurate evidence...
.....”If Trump cant handle KELLY in a deft and sure manner, how is he going to handle world leaders who hate him and everything our country stands for?”....
You are echoing Kelly for she said just that.......
Fox’s JOB was to hold ‘debates’ between candidates on issues and hear what the candidates say on the issues this nation faces........NOT ‘schooling’ Presidential candidates or present practice run situations.
This was a ‘FOX REALITY SHOW’...using and abusing OUR Presidential Candidates as props in order to gain viewership......it worked.
I keep shouting into the wilderness that it is going to take a lot more than voting in order to get this ox out of the ditch. The People need to mount recall elections, demand resignations of appointed officials, and any other ACTIONS deemed necessary. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN.
“Cruz was intentionally walked.”
Winner!
of course not who talks like that?
Sure is a bunch of people trying to get us to think like that.
FYI.....A bit I found on Fiorina when at HP....
While she was swinging the ax at HP she insisted on getting a $30 million Gulfstream IV jet for her Celebrity life ....other leaders at Hp had flown coach for years.
Chris Wallace and Bret Baier are now on Faux News attempting to splain themselves. I could puke.
George Will stated on Fox News Sunday that Trump’s support is mainly from the non-political, fringe types. He concluded that the campaign will start to jell once this “vulgar and crude man” (Trump) has left the scene. Rush discussed Friday the attitude toward outsiders by the political establishment. The RNC should be asked with a show of hands if they will support Trump if he wins the nomination. George Will will literally flip his wig if that happens.
The headline gets a click to read article.
She was on a mission indeed.
Yes, she was fired not only for her extravagances but also for her very poor decisions, her lack of integrity, putting her selfish personal interests before the best interests of the company she was in charge of.
Trump has earned his Boeing 757. He has steadfastly built a management team that can transform any situation into a success. His 757 serves as a conference center in the sky and is a useful perhaps essential tool in the management of his hundreds of businesses.
Trump and Fiorina are a great study in contrasts; they are polar opposites.
