Though it does seem weird. Why didn’t he try to prevail upon the firefighters to do that. Clear the way for him and he’ll go in and get the daughter, especially if he was “tall and strong.” And then everything should be peachy with Allah?
Does seem to be a detail overlooked in the screaming headlines.
