Donald Trump's misogynistic rant against Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly led to his Republican primary rivals demanding he apologize for the disgusting remarks.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Saturday hit the motormouthed mogul for insulting Kelly and women at a conservative activists' conference and demanded an apology.
"Come on give me a break. I mean, do we want to win? Do we want to insult 53% of all voters? What Donald Trump said is wrong," Bush said to cheers at the RedState Gathering.
The conference's organizer, Erick Erickson, cut Trump from the roster after the billionaire buffoon lashed out at Kelly, who challenged him on his past misogynistic comments during the first big TV debate of the cycle.
Trump said Friday that during the Cleveland showdown, "You could see there was blood coming out of (Kellys) eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever."
Not very classy or helpful, Bush said.
That is not how we win elections and worse yet, that is not how you bring people together to solve problems. That is not the way to do it," said the ex-governor, who saw himself bumped to second place by Trump's June leap into the packed GOP field.
"Your decision, I think, was the right one," Bush told Erickson, who pulled Trump's invite to RedState on Friday. "Mr. Trump ought to apologize."
Speaking earlier Saturday to reporters after a warmly received speech to the grassroots conference, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz -- who has defended some of Trump's controversial remarks on immigration -- defended Kelly while avoiding a direct assault on the frontrunner.
"I think that's a decision for RedState to make," Cruz said when asked about Trump being barred from the gathering. "I think every candidate should treat everyone else with civility and respect. That is a standard that I try to follow. That is a standard I hope that all of us try to aspire to."
Cruz praised Kelly as a "terrific journalist" who "did a very good job moderating the debate," but also chided the press for focusing too much on the "soap opera" aspects of the campaign over more substantive issues, including foreign policy.
"You're not going to defeat the Washington cartel by obsessing over the politics of personality," he said.
Jeb has blood coming out of his wherever. So it's only natural that Jeb is offended.
I agree with Sen. Cruz, but the objective here is to establish a Trump vs Jebbie fight that can be used to keep everyone else from getting a column inch of print or a minute of airtime.
People who take one side or the other in this will tend to ignore the rest of the candidates, having effectively picked the one they defend.
More "reality" TV.
Jeb: “Is it me, or is the room tilting again?”
lol
very true
Jeb B. is pathetic. He demands an apology? None of it involved him. He just want to suck up to Megyn and Fox and get press time now that FOX might be turning to M. Rubio as their favorite. All this just keeps making everything more and more about D. Trump and less about the issues that are important.
Psychology is involved. It’s how they get conservatives to throw their support behind a liberal.
Cruz handles the thing right. Yeb comes off with a case of the vapors.
by the way, she has told how crappy she felt and I wonder about menopause. THAT can make a woman all kinds of unhinged.
Jeb assumed what Trump meant and then assumed that every single woman (his 53% crack) is offended by what Trump didn’t even say.
Jeb didn’t have the balls to say anything to Trump during the debate but kissed his butt. Now he piles on a fake scandal what a loser.
“Cruz praised Kelly as a “terrific journalist” who “did a very good job moderating the debate,” but also chided the press for focusing too much on the “soap opera” aspects of the campaign over more substantive issues, including foreign policy. “
Don’t try to be cute, Ted. Straddling fences isn’t going to cut it nor are these people going to give you more face time at the net debate.
>>Time for people here to pull their heads out of their ass and get behind Cruz.
Time for Cruz to step up and tap into the anger that Trump is exploiting.
This election is not about rational choices! The gay wedding cake, the Confederate flag, the gays in the military, the encroachment of islam, the Iran deal, ObamaCare have taken away all rationality. The Left has always threatened to burn this country down if they don’t get their way. I think that we are finally ready to burn it down too and that’s what scares the Progs most. They’ve always counted on us backing down. They’re counting on us dumping Trump and then they can destroy Cruz at their leisure and then we’ll get the Bush/Cristie/Rubio choice.
LOL!
Liberals demand apologies. Conservatives move forward.
Bush is not a conservative.
GOPe weenies are not conservative, not a single one of them.

She no espiki the English.
She an entitled puta Mexicano.
Megs said it herself that Donald operates without some type of filter so she can’t with any integrity play gotcha with him because of that. Besides I am a female and to me she did seem a little unhinged and hormonal. Just saying. She might have had a little of the vapors too with all those products they spackled her with, hair bleach, hairspray, eyelash glue, hair glue for those extensions, nail polish, pancake makeup, eyeliner, tooth bleach, lipstick. All that stuff can have some noxious chemicals. Plus teetering on those hooker type shoes can make one quite dizzy. Some guys would go broke having to buy all the accoutrements that high maintenance chick needs to walk out the door. It’s tough being a Fauxnews superhero woman./s
Hormones can be a bitch!
Apology may help but who’s Jeb to talk about winning the election - with his policies most of the R voters will stay home - leaving the presidency to Hillary or Bernie.
I posted this on another thread, it fits here too:
Just out of curiosity I ask this. In an argument about Trump and his alleged sexual inferences, and a battle between a white Megyn Kelly, a white Donald Trump, a white Erick Erickson, and involving virtually all white players in this faux anti-woman game, why would the N word be appearing in alleged emails to Erick Erickson about this whole topic of debate?
How would the N word even be brought up at all? In what context? No one is talking about Obama here. Not when it is in the context of whats being argued in a Kelly/Trump battle. No Obama or other Blacks in sight. So how would the N word ever appear and why?
So either Erickson is lying about emails containing the N word, or he is being sent emails by GOPe operatives (or Dem ones) to stir the pot. There is just no context I can think of that would elicit any emails to Erickson using the N word, considering this is an argument over alleged anti-female issues and between whites.
I smell a big, stinking, rotten conspiracy between Erickson who is, by the way, a paid Fox News Contributor, the GOPe, and the fine hand of Ailes & Fox News/Bush team in a continuing attempt to eliminate Trump from primary contention.
I might add that Jeb Bush was on stage with Erickson today thanking him for disinviting Trump and singing Ericks praises for making a stand against Trump. Jeb then said Trump should apologize for what he said. This is all being orchestrated folks. At the same time, the vicious MSM/Libs are trying to get Trump to get mad enough to go third party in hopes it will allow Hillary to win.
All the long knives are out now to do Trump in and get rid of Main Street conservatives last best hope of breaking the Washington D.C. cartel and getting someone in office who speaks for us on our issues. And to think there are those on these FR threads playing right into this evil cabals hands. I hope to heaven that Trump has the fortitude and stamina to roll with all of these punches and attacks from all sides, as believe me, so many are out to get him and wont relent one iota until they have Trumps nose bloodied, or wherever.
Jeb needs to make an appointment with his gynecologist for hormone replacement therapy.
