They're only "unarmed" until they assault the cop and take his/her weapon (as hundreds of cases have demonstrated.) Assault a cop (or even an armed civilian) and be ready for the cop to shoot you to protect his/her weapon. (Also true for assault on an armed civilian.)
I’ve been saying this for years - you can just as credibly be “armed” with an assaultive intent. AKA Michael Brown.
