Yes. To a large extent, Trump came out on top of the debate curfluffle, but he needs to back off and get back on message. His initial jabs after were fine, but bordered on too much. His full 24 hours is now damaging his ability to show he’s ‘ready of office’. Even if this comment was benign (and I think it may have been), he needs to move on to other things. Fox overstepped and many agree with him. That said, he’s now going to let them get the upper-hand, and they have a 24/7 microphone and all their on-air folks will circle the wagons.
Remember Clinton's War Room that immediately went into action whenever there was a criticism of him? It works.
RULE 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
RULE 8: Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
RULE 10: If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (
...but he needs to back off and get back on message.
I’m seeing a new meme/message from the Trump camp and it is absolutely incredible and timely: He is making public war against Political Correctness.
It’s about bleeping time someone with a public podium did.
I think you guys are overreacting just like everyone overreacts with every other statement that is made. Normal Americans aren't sitting here glued to FR on a Saturday worrying about how Donald Trump manages each and every minute of his campaign.
