This area has had at least 3 big tornadoes since the early 70’s. The last one was in 2011/12. It knocked out all power stations coming in. I can truthfully say that during those dark days and nights, people were very nice to others. I had to go to the grocery store during that time. I had one traffic light. The drivers made it into a 4 way stop. Never saw people so nice! I saw kids out playing because there were no lights, tv, games, etc. We checked on neighbors to make sure they were ok. It was hard to do anything by candlelight! It was great for people who had generators!

I hear you. :) At our old house, we had a microburst that took down a tree that bounced off our house and onto my jeep. We had a live wire in the front yard, and one of my neighbors offered to call it in for me. I went across the street to another neighbor who drove me to a nearby gas station that still had power, and I called my husband, who was at school in Connecticut. He drove home that night.

People were so kind.
