Senior career officers today are promoted first and foremost if the display the proper political correctness. Their ability as warriors hardly matters. The Joint Chiefs of Staff has devolved into just another Federal bureaucracy staffed by pole climbing careerists. Can anyone imagine what it would be like to serve under this man? There are too many like him.
