Semper Fi!
Biggest badass I ever served with was a force recon Marine GySGT.
He was a man of color.
He was a man of honor.
He lived and breathed - God, Corp, Country.
They make few like him, and as Dr. Carson so eloquently said tonight, it’s not the skin that makes the man.
Blacks can’t swim so that’s why they don’t join the Navy Seals.
they dont understand what an offensive statement they are making.
This recruitment campaign has the familiar tone of that “Mars Needs Women!!!” movie; desperate, frantic and not all that choosy.
Apparently, people of color aren’t drawn to special forces.
Don’t misunderstand me — I think they perform a heroic service — but being a Ranger, Green Beret, Delta, NightStalker, Seal is damn difficult and damn dangerous.
Lot’s more MAJORITY troops are NOT drawn to Special Operations as are. Minorities see that, don’t join, and at one level the hallmark of that decision not to join up can be viewed as RATIONALITY.
Why? Isn’t that racial profiling, you idiot?
Then explain how we have had the best fighting force on the planet for the past 100 years...
Blacks are underrepresented in any front line combat unit. That’s why they are also underrepresented among those killed in action.
Ben carson said it best last night when I operate on someone I see the person not the color. Huckabbe said it to, we need them to protect us, this is not a fashion show on how we look to the world. PC and the commie progressives are putting us all in a dangerous position and should be duly noted for fututre prosecution
I was 1st Ranger Battalion In the 70’s and it was fairly diverse. My first CO was black. It’s all volunteer, and you only get rejected if you don’t measure up - not because of your skin color.
