what you said!
I caught a clip about a year ago on C-SPAN or one of the other cable networks where a few newsies had caught Cruz in the hallway on his way to somewhere and were asking him questions—his extemporaneous answers were fluid, forthright, and good. I have been paying attention to him since. IMHO, he is the best in the field.
How’s life in the trailer park?
Well, except for two things.

Dolly is much more friendly, and she has a Southern accent.
Ready to do some more c-word slinging? I invite you.
Wow. I must have hit a nerve. You went to a lot of trouble and it doesn’t change a thing that I said.
Oh, and goodbye to you as well. :-)
Well done, good and faithful servant.
Well put, I stand corrected.
(((JONNY!)))
Always good to see you! :^)
Yes - I was delighted to hear him make the Alinsky connection! I was pleased that 1) he knows and 2) that he’s not afraid to say it.
That is very sad. It seems to imply nearly universal corruption.
She/He dinged ne, too.
One advantage to getting personal attacks was that he got 30 seconds to answer every time it happened. Thus he got the most minutes of all the debaters.

Um, yeah well if I may interrupt a moment the first several years of trailer park digs by folks didn’t bother me because I understood the context but I’ll tell you what my parents who live on social security and have nowhere else to go that they can afford and also be on their own live in a mobile home. They are good church going people. I don’t like to see them get lumped with the “trash” all the time.
...” he got the most minutes of all the debaters”...
But what did he have to say of substance on the issues of this country????
Unfortunately, I did not get to see the debate. Don’t have cable. Do you have a link I can use on my computer? The impression I get is that the format of the “debate” and the questions asked by moderators did not allow for substance. Hope it improves with the next debates. Disgusting!

I disagree..though the questions were out of bounds in every respect...Trump should not even have attempted to speak about them “AS THEY WERE PRESENTED”.....he could have spoken about women contributing highly in the work force and those he has working for him and simply ‘ignored’ the non-sense...... they baited him and he took the bait.....worse they baited him using Kelly...a Trump “friend”. He was not prepared for this.
You see they threw him off his game entirely....if he had one at all coming in other than what we’ve heard already.
I hated what they did and certainly voiced it enough here on Fr.....but Trump clearly got blindsided and was not quick enough on his feet to ward off the attacks....though he tried....
