We don’t need more HB-1 visas. Over half of all STEM graduates aren’t working in STEM, and relatively few of those upgraded to engineering management. And STEM graduate wages in most areas are flat or declining, whereas a real increase in wages would demonstrate growing demand.
This could hurt our technical edge. Why should American kids go into STEM with flat or declining wages?
