How much more plausible would it be that someone planted that flaperon there?

With the barnacles and such that are all over it ... not terribly plausible at all.

Barnacles could have gotten all over it in the South China Sea as easily as near Reunion Island. That proves very little, and proves nothing that would preclude its being planted.

People coming up with ignorant counter-evidence only tends to raise suspicions.
