Fox Debate Hosts Already Have a Secret Plan to Deal with Donald Trump
Mediaite ^ | 5 Aug 2015 | Alex Griswold

In an interview with Politico, Fox News hosts Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace revealed they already have a plan if Donald Trump refuses to obey the rules of Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate.

“Listen, he’s going to be treated like everybody else,” Baier said. “We’re going to treat every candidate the same. Everybody is going to know all the rules going in; there is going to be a sound at the end of their time — it won’t be a pleasant sound.”

“Are we thinking about different scenarios? Sure. Our job is to make sure everybody plays by the rules,” he continued.

But Kelly said they had a plan if Trump refused to stop talking. “We have a plan, but we’re not going to share it with you.”

“Just a factual note. The Reagan Democrats are basically all deceased now. That particular demographic doesn’t exist anymore. Those that are still around turned Republican long ago.”

That is not factual at all. I know a number of Reagan Democrat still alive and kicking and still Democrat.

Trump Answers:

Yes

No

It’s detailed on my website

I hope the first unimportant question he gets, he politely says: "I reserve my two minutes to answer this question, and will add it to my allotted time when we get to a serious question. I yield the balance of my time to myself."

Maybe he wants it to be about lack of substance in others answers because talk, talk, talk doesn't get anything done.

Agreed. I posted this on July 15:

It certainly was not bad to vault to the top on immigration, but he can't stay there on immigration alone. Soon, he will have to start enunciating a jobs policy, a tax policy, a spending policy, a banking policy, a manufacturing policy, an education policy, an environmental policy, a retirement policy, a health care reform policy.

We'll have to see how he weaves these together, while holding the other candidates to the same high bar. How does manufacturing clash with environment? How does education support jobs? What will spending look like, cuts and/or taxes? Would he disband or reduce agencies? Cut oppressive regulations? Release the hoard of ammunition back into general circulation? Cut social security retirement benefits or cut disability (fake unemployment) abuse? Repeal Obamacare and restore private risk-pool insurance policies? What about tort reform?

There are many more issues we need to hear about from all the candidates before we can rule anyone out. I believe that Trump's presence will force real discussion on these issues instead of the pablum we have been getting in the past. That's why people like Lindsey Graham say that Trump will blow up the GOP brand; it's because he won't allow them to get away with their phoney nonsense anymore. Their poll-tested responses won't stand up to Trump's responses, if the past is any indicator of the future.

And on July 16 I posted this:

The first debate will be Trump's "debutante cotillion ball," so to speak.

Trump will have to be prepared with more than one-lines and zingers. This will be his purest opportunity to present reasoned policy positions relative to the other candidates.

If Trump wastes this opportunity, all future attempts will be weighed down by comparisons to this debate. Trump has to Wow the observers with cogent policy statements or he will enable the "he's not serious" critics and will start to lose support.

Trump needs to turn the attacks away from him personally and towards his policy positions. But he has to lay them out first, and not just on immigration.

Fox is beholden, completely, to the RINO’s....

But, when they mention they have a plan for Trump...I can understand what they are saying...

Both to keep him on track and to ask him questions he doesn’t want to answer...

It will be interesting. Still not sure why Wallace is doing the debate, though

Interesting that you posted some shadowy figures donating to the Clinton Foundation...

Is one of those Trump?

It really is funny watching you carry the GOPe and MSM’s water. Who would’ve thought a FReeper would be assisting the establishment Republicans. Chris Matthews would be proud.

You’re a Trump thread troll.

On August 1, I posted this:

I don't know how many gotcha questions will be coming Fox News moderators to Republican candidates, at least not like they would get from CNN and NYT moderators.

The worst thing they can do is fling gotcha questions to Trump and Cruz, and softball questions to Bush and Rubio and Christie. Trump and Cruz will be all over that in an instant.

Yesterday we had this article Chris Wallace, moderator of the first GOP debate, plans ‘some doozies’, to which I posted:

“I’ve got some doozies in there,”

I guess this means that Republicans can't get an honest, fair debate anywhere. Everyone wants their trophy head for their office wall.

Between Kelly's secret "plan" and Wallace's "doozies," one might think this was all about them, and not about the candidates.

Can we have a unpleasant sound for this bimbo? She never shuts up ... and what’s with this she is beautiful crap, she looks like a cheap street walker.

He could opt out by saying it’s not fair to only have ten candidates. Then he could offer the solution of having two debates with 8 candidates each all picked at random.

If they get on Trump for not answering their questions they’re going to have to get on Carly, too. She’s pretty good at talking about what she wants to talk about and she doesn’t fall for the “gotcha” questions.

He could make every republican and all three media people crap their pants by saying “These guys are the face of the republican party? I refuse to do business with a bunch of frauds. I will finish this debate but tomorrow I’m starting a third party of professionals.”

Good post...but let me see if I can respond with my take...

I am not sure how many gotcha questions will come from Fox nor if any of them will act like Cindy Crowley. But, they best be prepared.

However, I imagine you are right...softball questions for the RINO’s and different standards/questions/”follow-ups” to Cruz, Carson and Trump. However, I bet they ask Trump to flush out his ideas AND about his recent comments about his Democrat views and his past dalliances with the Left.

And no, with Wallace, they won’t get a fair shot...but he is FAR better than the moderators at other debates. I can just see the group of them...huddling in the green room snickering to each other...

We shall see...

Trump is the only one who has spoken out against China repeatedly and for many years now, making it one of his top issues.

What other politician running has been repeatedly speaking out against China? NONE as all politicians including your candidate are all bought and paid for by China.
