I do know that if an officer tells you to show him your hands you show them. I have no problem with the guy recording or saying whatever he wants to the officer, but take your freaking hand out of your pocket.

I acknowledge that he should have de-escalated by taking his hand out his pocket. That said, the thugcop’s behavior was WAY beyond acceptable or legal in my opinion. WAY BEYOND.

I’ll give you that Joe Citizen should take
his hand out of his pocket per cop request.
However, if the incident led to a private
citizen complaint or court action then the
cop is going to land in a shit storm when
he has to explain that he had gotten his
panties in a twist, confronted the civilian,
and drew his weapon over being the subject
of the home owner’s video follies. The cop
knew that too.
