Well folks,

It looks like we've almost managed to find a situation where everyone agrees that a cop was decidedly out of line. Just one hold-out on this one.

Interesting thread.

I'll be interested to see how his department reacts. Haven't seen that yet.

Yep, this badge licker will need a really good chiropractor to untwist the contortions. Amazing how some will just not let go but go down with the ship.

The proper response for this officer would have been to simply rest his hand on the firearm. Drawing was too much. I thought that was the usual procedure; it is not escalatory.

As to the hold-out, that person actually lamented that there was no shooting.
