We just have to keep our powder dry. Social issues are losers. We must be practical. You purists will make sure Obama wins. We have to take the house and the senate and the presidency and the head of the homeowners assoc. first because thats what matters most.

It’s just sad how some of these people can call themselves conservatives, Norm.

Wasn’t aware of the vital importance of the homeowners association, though. I’m sure Jeb will get right on that :)

The HOA...that’s funny. But very sad because it’s very true.

“Vote for the republican no matter what.” I did. Once for McCain and once for Romney. I still got Obama.

“We must take over congress.” We did and I can’t tell the difference. In fact, I’m not really sure there was even an election. It must have been a dream.

Yah - and these PP folks really being “fiscally conservative” — and just following the laws of supply and demand as per the “free” market... errr, aren’t they?

I like your humor. It inspired me to go a step further and hit hard what I see is a dysfunctional electorate.

There is a voting block that is beyond ideological. The "choice" issue is so ingrained into them, they don't care what facts get into their conscience. Their brains could well be cement around a small core functioning on a primitive level. The abortion issue is a dog whistle that they are conditioned to respond like some Pavlovian call to salivate whenever it is used. The Democrat Marxists use it to their advantage.

That being said, there is an entire voting block that stayed home in 2008 and 2012. These fools can be called Fat Asses with no guilt. They think it is God's will and He will select what leaders we should have, based upon false interpretations of the Bible. No need to vote. Just let God do it all. These voters are like able bodied citizens who get into handicap parking and a Hoveround because it is the easier way to go. They let God be their handicap ramp and stay home.

Others are hard core "I don't give a da**!" They would rather come home from work on election day, hit the couch and watch TV. They are the center of the world and nothing else matters. They are also the Number One Fat Ass Fools. They think that they can let "the fools" go through all the trouble to pick the biggest fool in the country to sit as the King. They only thing they want is for the wife to have the house clean and the dinner ready when they get home. Why should they go out and vote? Dinner will get cold.

Then, there are the ideological purists. First off, there have been plenty of ideologues throughout history. They have the answer for how the world should work. One thing is certain, their answer for how man should live does not guarantee they are consistent with the facts. To be consistent with the laws of nature is a crap shoot because so many idologues get their ideas from alternate universes. And, because they are so off the wall for human beings, many people have lost their lives when an ideologue would not tolerate diversion from their ideology. It is so with the purists who will not tolerate diversion from their ideology. They will stay home rather than do the hard work of convincing others that their ideology is consistent with the laws of nature. That would take too much work and they want life to be easy and not take too much energy. For them, a good stiff drink and a arm chair (with plenty of ivy growing around them) is better than going out in the cold and voting.

To sum up, we should think smart, avoid being Pavlovian Dogs, get our Number One Fat Asses out of our Hoverounds and never think that Democracy is a handicap ramp. We can climb into our arm chair surrounded with ivy and sip our stiff drinks after the election.
