Sounds like either (a) wishful thinking of (b) whistling past the graveyard.

Right. Actually, if/when Trump fails, it’s going to set someone else other than Jeb to gain millions of supporters. Could be Walker or Cruz if I were to narrow the potential beneficiaries. The Trump movement is anything but a help to Jeb.

Nope. I don’t think that works either.

I am getting a headache in trying to figure out the logic of the argument presented by the New York Times and the gop "consultants".

They have twisted themselves into a pretzel with this logic- I hope someone will help them to straighten out their bodies so that their faces don't perpetually end up against their anus.

The jebster may have a better than average chance of winning the nomination, but he has zero chance of winning the general election. Jeb is the democrat party’s preferred opponent, just as Romney was.

If the NYT likes a candidate, it’s not a good idea to vote for them.

uh, no thanks. Jeb would make me have to stay home election day. I won’t vote for a dirtbag that insults and ignores conservatives.

No way Jebbie.

The Nazi’s could barely contain their glee after the allies successfully landed on Normandy.

“The invasion of Britain was a logistical nightmare, but the allies coming into France really simplifies our supply lines and strategy,” one aide to the Furher commented.

Yep, I'm thinking the donor class will get behind Bush right after the first debate if he does OK.

Everyone else will suddenly see all their money and media interest disappear.

Yeah, is it Jeb's "barely concealed delight" that he is losing even in his home state of Florida?

Does Jeb and the GOPe believe he can come in no better than 2nd in any state and steal the GOP nomination in a brokered convention and still win the general election?

Or is it the NYTimes "barely concealed delight" that they believe the GOPe will resort to a brokered convention for Jeb and then have no chance in the general election?

Rather a knife in the belly with someone else's vote
than a knife in the back with my own vote.

Many party strategists anticipate he will ultimately self-destruct if exposed as having little familiarity with the pressing issues facing the country.

Who is this jokster??? Trump definitely has his finger(s) on the pressing issues facing the country...That's what his campaign is all about...

Spin on, Bushites.

I have yet to hear of anyone supporting Jeb Bush in my area except for a lone GOP-e politician. NADA. Absolutamente nada.
