Sen. Bob Menendez has introduced legislation to curb trophy hunting of endangered and threatened species after the demise of Cecil, an African lion whose death at the hands of an American hunter touched off a social media firestorm.

The Conserving Ecosystems by Ceasing the Importation of Large Animal Trophies Act would extend restrictions on the import and export of animals that are being considered for inclusion under the Endangered Species Act. Currently, the restrictions apply only to animals already on the list.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had suggested the African lion be listed as “threatened” in October, but has yet to confirm the listing.

I didn't know that big game hunting was an issue in the United States. I didn't know that American law was enforceable for actions occurring outside the jurisdiction of the United States.

One glaring reality to me (other than the obvious uproar over the lion, vs. lefty yawns for aborted baby parts), is how bass ackward this whole thing is.

U.S. Fish and wildlife suggests the a. Lion be listed as threatened. Umm.. what about babies in the womb being threatened by abortion and parts sold?

Cowardly lions? Anthropomorphic much? More incidious language meant to deceive. Menendez is wrongly attributing human traits to an animal, but ironic that the left is unwilling to do the same for aborted babies. Humanizing lions, dehumanizing fetus to nothing more than tissue and parts.

The article goes on to say “Cecil...who was well known around Zimbabwe for a friendly demeanor and participation in a study that tracked his movements by GPS,...” Friendly is a human trait, again attributing human traits to an animal. And Cecil didn’t “participate” in a study...This implies a human awareness. Cecil was accustomed to humans, which actually made him more dangerous. And how natural was the pride’s behavior for the study anyway?

So basically, bleeding lion hearts are humanizing this lion in any way they can to focus emotions to gain pity. While on the other hand, PP crowd does everything it can to dehumanize aborted baby parts into something even less than animals.

Up is down, down is up. Sometimes it seems this mindset is just as horrifying as the video of aborted baby parts...This one lion, has the whole world in an uproar. Millions of aborted baby parts? Crickets chirping on the left.
