If American workers have to be paid a little more to get them to cook, waitress and so on, is true patriotism found in the dollar and perhaps saving a buck or two or is true patriotism found in hiring American workers even if it means paying a little more?

WHERE IS TRUE PATRIOTISM FOUND???

This having to paymore for theses jobs doesn’t apply to assistants hotel manager and banquet manager, as I imagine that those pay enough that Americans citizens would work those jobs (if indeed foreign workers were sought out to fill any of the aforementioned positions here and/or the ones the article talks about).

First, as a Cruz guy I’ll say he’s dead wrong on the issue. That said...

There is zero need to import a single foreign worker in a free market economy with double digit unemployment...by anyone. This issue comes down to wanting ones cake and eating it too / entitlement.

If hotels or ANY OTHER INDUSTRY cannot exist by paying American workers what the actual non foreign twisted market determines, then they go out of business. Eventually people needing the services of hotels will cause a profitable hotel industry to develop. That’s economics 101 folks. The market will never work...ever...as long as every businessman, politician and their dog decides to intentionally thwart it.

Sure people want things cheap. I want a DeLorean with a Mr. Fusion and a trip back to sane America. LOLcats want Cheezburgers. Want and reality are different things.
