It’s probably closer to 20 million, of which about 80-90% are from Mexico and Central America.

*****

Bush knows what we all know: If we grant amnesty today to the 10 to 30 million illegals already hiding in the country, in 10 years there will be another outcry to give amnesty to another 10 yo 30 million illegals who were still in Mexico and Central America and other parts of the world when the 2016 amnesty bill was passed.

And on, and on, forever. The outcry will never stop. Every 10 years pro-amnesty activists will scream to let in another group of 10-20 illegals waiting along the Mexican border.

Every political con-man who supports amnesty comes up with a fig leaf to cover their treachery. They promise that this is a one-time only deal, and that once they get amnesty, they will secure the border.

The first question that comes to mind is why they're holding securing the border hostage by demanding amnesty first. The answer, of course, is that giving amnesty to the current 11 million (more like 20+) is just a precedent for future amnesty deals, since amnesty is just a loud invitation for millions more to pour across the border.
