At first I thought Trump was just doing another of his stunts.

But then it occurred to me. Why would a man with so much money, fame and power give it up, and face all the arrows that come with campaigning, where everything you have ever done in your life is going to be scrutinized soup to nuts?

POTUS is a step down for him if anything.

I believe it is because he loves this country so much and sees where it’s headed.

You can argue about his stances on the issues, but I have no doubt as to his motivation for running.

Sounds about right to me.

When you turn 69 (next month) like Trump, you begin to think of legacy.

He has been wildly successful in life— this is about preserving America for his family and by extension, for all of us.

For America’s sake, let’s hope he is wildly successful once again.
