While the death of a protected lion in Zimbabwe has caused outrage in the United States much of it centered on the Minnesota dentist who killed the animal most in Zimbabwe expressed a degree of bafflement over the concern.
The discovery that Cecil, the star of Zimbabwe national park had been lured out and killed by American bow hunter Walter James Palmer has resulted in online anger and protests at his dental clinic.
Outside Zimbabwe's environmental and activist circles, however, the reaction been muted.
"It's so cruel, but I don't understand the whole fuss, there are so many pressing issues in Zimbabwe we have water shortages, no electricity, and no jobs yet people are making noise about a lion?" said Eunice Vhunise, a Harare resident. "I saw Cecil once when I visited the game park. I will probably miss him. But honestly the attention is just too much."
An economic meltdown over the past few years has closed many companies and left two-thirds of the population working in the informal economy while battling acute water and electricity shortages.

One thing I do understand is why the Zimbo’s think ‘everyone’ is upset. Only the wacko’s are upset, and the Zimbo’s think everyone is wacko because the MSM portray’s them that way.
Zimbabweans have no food to fry in toxic oil.
Ifhe had been a Pit Bull....
To think he once hosted "The Man Show."
We have all the same problems here and we don’t even have the lion.
Guess you can take the president out of Africa but can’t take the Africa out of the president.
It’s the latest “Two Minutes Hate” designed to focus on “Evil, White, Men.”
Believe me if the guy was black, it would be a non-story.
And even more people are killed by hippopotami. And still more killed by Anopheles moskitoes.

ZEBRA LIVES MATTER
If only that zebra had a name.
"Hakuna Matata!"
Thanks for posting. I do not understand the outcry over this. Somebody shot a lion. Big fricking deal. All the problems in the world. All the atrocities...and people are worked up worldwide about shooting a fricking lion??
On the other hand, he demonstrated why republicans and political conservatives almost always have their lunches taken away from them on social media on any given day.
Consider that emotions simply "are" and that trying to tell someone that their feelings aren't justified is a guaranteed loser with outcomes much worse than trying to teach a pig to fly.
People feel outrage about Cecil and they won't be talked out of those feelings, especially by someone trying to dismiss them and their feelings with the shocking revelations about Planned Parenthood.
In fact, those trying to do so make themselves look bad and piss off those people to the extent that they are now no longer listening to whatever point was being made and are instead ready to fight.
So much for "win-win". What an incredible way to screw up a missed opportunity!!!
Consider that both Cecil and PP conjure up the worst fears and emotions in people and how both examples are seen in children's stories and sci-fi horror stories and movies.
To understand Cecil, imagine if the whale in Free Willy had been killed and what the viewer's emotions would be.
Imagine if Gracie the whale in that Star Trek movie had been harpooned before they could save her and her unborn baby from the whaling ship.
How do you feel when cops shoot a family's dog simply for barking at them or for any other stupid or cruel reason?
How would you, as a little kid, feel if Bambi the movie ended with Bambi and his mom dead and tied down on the hood of a car or pickup truck driving into the sunset?
Those are the feeling that Cecil brings up and, right or wrong, telling someone they shouldn't feel them is something not even a clown college drop out would do.
Now, regarding Planned Parenthood, think of all of the horror stories made into movies over the years with a story line like that of recent PP revelations, from movies like Frankenstein until those made now.
A close look at the recent Planned Parenthood news rewards you with that same revulsion, disgust and even fear for where something like this leads to.
Those emotions, just like the ones associated with Cecil, are very real, also, and you'd have to be a fool to deny it or them.
With these two stories there is an opportunity to tie them together and then use the emotions from both to bring different people together into agreement by feeling the same things, perhaps leading to positive legislative changes.
Instead, Hannity uses one against the other, thus highlighting division while attempting to rationalize why feelings about Cecil are misplaced and those who feel them are wrong.
One would think that man his age, especially a married man, would know better than to tell someone they should not feel one thing, but should feel another thing instead.
But, in this case, you'd be wrong.
“I’m barbecuing tonight! Oh, crap! I don’t have thumbs!”
What American liberals are saying: "We don't understand why the folks in Zimbabwe aren't upset over Cecil's murder by the rich, privileged, American, hunter-killer dentist!"
What American liberals are thinking: "Stupid, black animals! There is a reason we are exterminating their kind in America as fast as we can in PP clinics! And good riddance to the lot of them!"

Thanks to Disney and their "humanizing" of animals.
Killing a Lion: First World Problem
Not having enough Lion Meat to eat: Third World Problem
“What lion”?
Killin’ an lyin’? What do the Clinton’s have to do with this?
The problem does not seem to be the dentist luring the lion out of the park, but the dentist having naively hired unscrupulous local “guides” who both falsely presented themselves as ensuring that the hunt would comply with Zimbabwean law and lured the lion out to give their client an easy hunt.
