Why should an 18 year old be sharing a tent with a 13 year old, isn’t that a bit weird anyway?

Not at all weird, when pairings require economy.

But forget the age disparity. What about two 15-year-olds? Would you let a 15-year-old boy sleep in the same tent with your 15-year-old daughter?

I’d make them at least sleep in threes. A lot more difficult to rape/molest someone when there are three people instead of two.
