Has Donald Trump made his first serious boo-boo of the campaign?

For weeks, the media have trumpeted the supposed death of the Trump campaign. First, they claimed, Trump’s campaign imploded on launch thanks to his comments about illegal immigration. Then they claimed that Trump was finished because of his slap at Senator Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)43% ’s (R-AZ) war service. But neither of those comments alienated Trump’s base – he’s maintained his seven point lead over Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker in the 2016 presidential polls, with no other candidate breaking double-digits in the polls. In fact, his original comments about illegal immigration launched his candidacy to prominence, with many Americans relieved that a major candidate had finally touched the media third rail and talked openly about illegal immigrant criminality.

Now, however, Trump may have damaged himself with the very people excited by his candidacy. Asked point blank about his immigration policy, Trump dropped the brashness and the blurting, and suddenly went completely Hillary-vague on CNN. After blathering about deporting criminal illegal immigrants – even President Obama pays lip service to this idea – Trump continued:

Yes, I know....there’s something else we agree on. Yes, the turning blue is a major problem.

It is turning blue due to immigration and other demographics. It is following the path of VA.

I just got to tell you: these people are not as low paid as you think. You need to be concerned about how the legal immigrants are voting. The enormous flow of legal immigrants in to the country — 29.5 million 1980 to 2012 — has remade and continues to remake the nation's electorate in favor of the Democratic Party. FYI: They vote more than two to one Dem.

Did I tell ya the story about the illegal employed at a machine shop who always got drunk on breaks and lunch? He got so drunk one day he pee'd all over his machine and rubber mat he stood on, right in front of all the other illegal machinist who thought it was hilarious.

They didn't fire him because he worked cheap. They used to pay the machinist in old America nearly double what he was making. He was sent home for the day. Returned and within weeks filed multiple fraudulent injury claims against the greedy company.

Another story is when an HR Director produced two employee files for the same employee when she was told he had several IDs. HR boss had felt it was no big deal becasue it’s so common. Then it was found they had several hires who managers hired and were being paid, who didn’t even exist. Several of the hiring managers were illegal and were collecting checks from these phantom employees.

The biz owners were from Mexico.
