Trump might actually make the debates relevant again, if he comes prepared with solid policy proposals that starkly contrast with the focus-group tested pablum from the other candidates.

He has one shot to look like the mogul CEO who can competently get things done. He'll look even better if the low-pollers bring nothing to the debate except vapid stump one-liners.
