I hope the U.S. extradites this scumbag to Zimbabwe and that he gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

R.I.P. Cecil.

I am far from a tree hugger, but that was pretty low.

Almost as low as a certain scumbag president?

If this guy has committed a crime, I hope he’s prosecuted.

That said, I find it well nigh impossible to work up the kind of outrage the Internet has done over the death of a lion. Circle of life, Cecil.

Walter, shot with an arrow, wanders for 40 hours--but, don't shoot him. . .yet. It's the circle of life, Walter. You mad, Bro'?

When it comes to the “main stream news” we should always ask, “what is the rest of the story?”

The hunter did nothing wrong taking a lion was at the end of his life expectancy.

Amazing how people get all lathered up about a lion getting killed but then how many babies were aborted today? And most people didn’t care even a bit.

“As far as I understand, Walter believes that he might have shot that lion that has been referred to as Cecil,” the spokesperson said. “What he’ll tell you is that he had the proper legal permits and he had hired several professional guides, so he’s not denying that he may be the person who shot this lion. He is a big-game hunter; he hunts the world over.”

What’s the problem? Poaching is bad. This would not appear to be poaching, but a legal hunt.

I used to enjoy watching the outdoor hunting channels until they became nothing but infomercials for equipment and guided hunts on specially stocked and cultivated game preserves.

That's no longer hunting, it's just baiting and shooting from specialty blinds.

I just don’t get it. The question is.....why? Why is this something anyone would do on purpose? This must surely be a crime in that country.

What kind of depraved person would do this? Who would want this sadistic killer as their dentist? I hope that all of his patients refuse to return to him when (and if) he returns home to America.

I won’t lose a lot of sleep over this, but in my heart of hearts I think that in order for it to be considered “sporting” the animal has to have some kind of chance. And those modern composite bows are an absolute joke.

Not that I condone the killing, but I am always amazed at the level of indignation over killing an animal over the killing of people.

The incident occurred around July 6, with a professional hunting outfit reportedly luring Cecil outside the boundaries of the protected reserve using a dead animal as bait.

Is that illegal, if not, next subject.

What I do not understand is that there is a photo that purports to show this man and his ‘white rhino’ kill. Elsewhere, I read that there is only one (ONE) white rhino left in the world. Does anyone know any details?

For now.

When my younger brother and I heard about gigging frogs, we snuck out of the house one night after dark and went on one of our adventures.

When we returned home with over 20 frogs we were busted at the back door. Mom was upset but Dad wasn’t . Dad just smiled and talked about learning a lesson. Suddenly my brother and I learned how to personally kill, skin and cut up a frog, all 20 of them. Then we learned that “you eat what you kill”.

Mom cooked those frog legs and my brother and I had to eat 10, each. My brother cried with each bite, I hated them too, but I pretended I liked them.

I learned may things that night at the table. I better have a darn good reason to kill something and I better be planning on eating it.

My brother and I went on many more adventures, but we now knew to be very quiet when we returned and to never bring back something we weren’t prepared to eat.

Each to their own, but I think this dentist is an ass and he should be forced to eat the skinned carcass he left laying in the field.

$50,000 to just kill a big old kitty? He could have gone to any Humane Society or PETA shelter in the US and killed hundreds of them for free and he wouldn’t even have to stalk them.

Amen. He is a foul excuse for a human. I hope he had to do time in an African prison. And if he can drop that kind of cash to kill Cecil, he can drop some serious bones for the fine.
