Donald Trump is running for president. Many believed or hoped that the Donald’s latest foray into national politics was nothing more than a public-relations move, not a serious attempt to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
But now that Trump holds the lead in national polls, as well as polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, it’s time to take his campaign seriously. Media outlets like Huffington Post and the Wall Street Journal, which are covering Trump’s run as an entertainment story, not a news story, are making a mistake. If Trump wants to be a serious candidate for president, and has the numbers to back it up, he must be vetted like a serious candidate for president. A good place to start is to take a hard look at Trump’s ties to Philadelphia and New York organized-crime families.
Donald Trump’s Connections to Organized Crime
Trump was building his eponymous empire of hotels, casinos, and high rises in the early 1980s in New York City and Atlantic City. In both places, the construction industry was firmly under the thumb of the mafia. And in both places there are literally concrete connections between La Cosa Nostra and Trump’s lavish projects. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston, who has covered Trump for decades, has written a very useful list of questions for Trump. Many focus on his ties to the mob. In addition in his 1992 book, “Trump, The Deals and the Downfall,” author Wayne Barrett lays out a slew of suspicious dealings and associations.

His sister is a Senior United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and he is a friend of Rudy Giuliani.
Anyone that does business in New York or New Jersey has to deal with the Mafia - the bigger your business the more the mob wants to become your partner.

When young Bill Clinton in 1974 made his first run for political office, a crucial $10,000 loan was arranged for him by his uncle, Raymond Clinton. Uncle Raymond has been tied by Clinton biographer Roger Morris to the Hot Springs Mafia.
But it was not until 1984, when Clinton was elected for a second term as Governor of Arkansas, that Mob money really started pouring in. “That was the election when the Mob really came into Arkansas politics, the dog-track and racetrack boys, the payoff people who saw a good thing,” a former U.S. Attorney told Roger Morris. “It wasn’t just Bill Clinton and it went beyond our old Dixie Mafia, which was penny-ante by comparison. Among the “legitimate corporations” that noticed the possibilities with the rapidly ascending governor thirsting for power and money were front corporations for the intelligence services of the People’s Republic of China. The Lippo empire came to Arkansas that year.
By then, Bill Clinton’s ties to organized crime had become well- known. His half-brother Roger Clinton was convicted of cocaine distribution in association with Mob figure and Clinton money man Dan Lasater.
In the years that followed, Arkansas became a major cocaine trans-shipment point for the Mafia, crossing paths with the famous CIA Contra resupply operation at Mena.
Bill Clinton had found a most successful formula in U.S. politics: financial backing from a coalition of organized crime and hostile foreign governments.

The gangsters didn't appreciate it since they felt the Kennedy's owed them. When JFK got whacked some felt that is was by the mob for this very reason.
