To: Osage Orange

I don’t know if I count corn plots or salt licks as baiting or not. If you eat the resulting meat, it’s a bit like farming.

I commend you for tracking for a day and a half. According to the article I read, this guy wanted to get close enough to finish with his bow but after 40 hours or so it got tedious and they used a rifle.

They had the rifle, enabling a longer shot, and put the lion through Hell to extend the hunt. Not at all the same. He also didn’t care enough to observe the animal he was killing, resulting in signing the death warrant for almost two dozen cubs. More than 20 animals will die because this guy didn’t spend a day to find the number two male in the pride.

I hunt with my husband (deer, antelope, and soon, bear). I hunted deer and squirrel with my dad as a girl. Except for potentially killing animals that damage crops or threaten our existence, I wouldn’t kill another living thing if we didn’t plan to eat it.
