In that time, none of my firearms has:
...Committed suicide by blowing itself up on a train, plane, bus, or in any public or private space.
...Seized control of an aircraft and diverted its course for fun, profit, the release of prisoners, or crashed said aircraft into a fixed object or natural feature.
They haven't slipped down to the mall, movie theater, or local cartoon contest to shoot and kill people.
They have not visited schools with so much as malicious intent, let alone to shoot holes in the place and/or occupants.
They haven't tried to poison any municipal water supplies.
They haven't sent contagious and lethal diseases to people in the mail.
While we're on the subject of mail, they didn't send any explosives through any carrier to bring about the demise of or cause injury to anyone.
They didn't sneak off to Africa and blow up embassies, and never drove a truck or car full of explosives to anyone's doorstep and detonated it.
They stayed on shore and didn't take over a cruise ship and execute passengers.
They didn't try to smuggle a backpack full of Mother of Satan into a football game in Oklahoma and later blow up on the bench by the bus.
They have engaged in no acts of piracy, not even for fun and profit.
They didn't drag 200 schoolgirls off into the bush and sell them, rape them, or use them for bomb vest transporters.
All in all, Mr. Obama, my firearms have been pretty well behaved compared to terrorists.
They are happy here, content to go on occasional outings to punch holes in paper or provide game for my family--and yes, even deter criminals.
Should someone attempt to remove them against their will, I can't say they would remain so civil. They might regard such attempted theft as a hostile act against them and their owner.
Perhaps you would best spend your time dealing with those terrorists who have a track record of causing mayhem and doing damage, rather than inciting the millions of peaceful firearms which, like mine, are perfectly content to be well behaved.
