The local news stations in central Florida are obssessed with the weather. And it rains almost every day here in the summer. Local stations have teams of forecasters that breathlessly report the weather as if it were a movie audition, , arms flailing, perfect enunciation and big smiles.

I only like watching Julie Broughton on local 6, and not for the weather!

The local news stations in central Florida are obssessed with the weather.
My father hated one local weather guy on TV and refused to watch him - not knowing the guy had to move to Florida with health problems.
My dad retired to Fort Myers in the early 90s ... turned on the TV one night and - surprise - there he was!
