Was not aware. It’s the organization’s prerogative, but regretful it excludes those of differing beliefs who nonetheless would make “morally upright” members. Traditionalists of many faiths reject the moral relativism, secular humanism, & perversions of our “modern” culture, Protestants, Roman Catholics, Jews, Mormons among them.
They may change, I suspect the differing teachings/doctrines and the logistics typically involved in accommodating LDS at summer camps may have been involved in the original decision.
Not to hijack the thread, but the LDS and mainline Christian churches view each other with skepticism based on teachings/doctrine.
