DES MOINES Setting ambitious goals for producing energy from the sun, wind and other renewable sources, Hillary Rodham Clinton seized on an issue Monday that increasingly resonates with Democratic voters and sets up a stark contrast with the Republican presidential field.
With many Republican candidates saying they do not believe that climate change is a threat or requires government intervention, Mrs. Clinton assailed their logic, saying, The reality of climate change is unforgiving no matter what the deniers say.
She set a goal to produce 33 percent of the nations electricity from renewable sources by 2027, up from 7 percent today a higher goal than the 20 percent that President Obama has called for by 2030.
Mrs. Clintons strategists see climate change as a winning issue for 2016. They believe it is a cause she can advance to win over deep-pocketed donors and liberal activists in the nominating campaign, where she is facing Democratic challengers to her left on the issue. It is also one that can be a weapon against Republicans in a general election. Polls show that a majority of voters support candidates who pledge policy action on the warming climate. . .

No!
Hillary: “ I get the first 100 million off the top”
Bwaaaa-ha-ha
When in doubt, play the climate change card.
The Empress isn’t wearing any clothes.
Oh, wait. No! Omigawd, horrible visual.
Just saw her on Fox Business in black & white striped blouse
Oh my! is she going to change the climate?
I thought that was God’s job ...
This woman doubles down on stupidity.
Go Hillary Go!
She will hit all the left’s Pavlov’s bell issues before she is done. All the things that evoke instant preconditioned support from the young, the gullible and the dependent.
It will be like the kid’s xylophone from Close Encounters. The same five notes over and over until the LIVs come drooling to the polls.
Denmark and Germany set similar goals and invested and subsidized massively in wind and solar. The two countries now have the highest electric rates in the world, with the exception of small islands that import diesel.
This was last in issues that people care about. Way to overwhelm, Hitlary.
It almost destroyed Spain.
I Spain for every green job created they lost 4 traditional energy jobs.
Rock on losers.
Please tell me the objective criteria for “climate change “(Global warming?) such that I can study the empirical data measurements and precisely measure your “theory”. Otherwise STFU!!
Yer being to Scientific!!
Collect and analyze data?
Pish Posh...
We’ll run a scare campaign
THAT is how science works!
Renewables is code language mostly for industrial wind turbines.... all one has to do is look to Ontario, Canada to see what a total total disaster these things are. Ontario now has the highest electricity rates in North America, businesses are falling all over each other to exit the province, property owners living next door to these monsters are finding that no one wants to buy their properties, you don’t actually get any power out of the things (what you think you gain in electricity you actually lose due to a reduction in efficiency in other generators who now have to accommodate a cyclical supply), the low frequency and sound amplitude modulation is enough to drive you off the deep end etc. etc. etc. Did I say that they are a total disaster?
Does Canada have the crony capitalist gravy for “big wind” like the USA? That’s the real reason for building wind turbines here.
And who the hell wants to climb the thing change the oill grade to a lighter oil in the dead of winter so it does not eat itself alive when the cold wind blows?
I guess we could warm the oil, but that requires debendable electricity...
