I don’t think Trump is the best vehicle for this.
He has given a lot of money over the years to the Democrats including the Clintons-—to their foundation and their political campaigns.
He said he loves Hillary thought she’d make a fantastic president.
He could very well still be in bed with the Clintons.
I wouldn’t trust him.
Yes, I’m mad as hell, but that doesn’t mean I think Trump is the right man for the office he seeks.
Trump’s emergence says more about the GOP than it does about Trump.
If not Trump, who?
The "disaffected" fall back on Bush? So much for the "disaffected". On the other hand, conservatives who are starting to take notice of Trump, can not even fathom Bush as a second alternative. In fact Ted Cruz is still their main man.
Cruz, Walker, Jindal
All more conservative than Trump.
All with records we can look at.
At least they don’t contribute money to the Clintons.
Cruz or Walker.
If you stand around and just listen to both republicans and democrats talk....they are all somewhat disenchanted. I’d take a guess that thirty to forty percent of democrats have lost faith with the Reid/Obama/DNC crowd. For the republicans...it’s probably closer to fifty percent who don’t go with the RNC/McCain/current crew. Trump....for all the bad stuff that you can say or toss on the guy...is the non-insider or non-political guy. If he would get through the convention...it would be curious who’d he might pick for VP.

Trumps current strength comes from GOP weakness and broken promises.
The fix is quite simple. Address the issues of millions of conservatives
and don’t break promises and there would be no room for the Trumps
and Perot’s of the world.
Until that happens there will always be a vaccum.
the establishment candidates (plural) like Jbush will just glom onto the words as a magic talisman. They will recite the words and then screw the voters. (see McCain)
I share all of your frustrations.
Don’t think Trump is the answer.
We need another Reagan, not another Perot IMHO.
Cruz the most Indy from the DC/GOPE, but Walker looks to be too cozy with the GOPE.
Not a question of who is more conservative, it's who can appeal to the LIVs. Because more and more you're going to need at least some of that vote to win a National election, this isn't 1980.
We need a Trump/Cruz or a Cruz/Trump ticket...
I was thinking about this a couple of weeks ago...If Trump goes into the President position, and Cruz goes into the V.P. position, Cruz could show some ‘politics’ to Trump and Trump could show Cruz some businessman practices....say if Trump lead for 4 years and did good, another 4 years, then Cruz went into President and did good, 4 years and if he did good another 4 years, that’s 16 years of good leadership and NO Democrats.....
I am very disaffected but Trump is far far far removed from what this country needs.
Businesses and business leaders have had to do this for quite some time. Payoff the politicians for beneficial legislation or simply be left alone by the pirates in Washington. It's a corrupt system that needs to be torn down.
Well Rush the blowtorch off and running speaking right away about Trump and Cruz.
Yeah, well, there’s a reason Trump is getting all the headlines and leading in the polls, instead of those other guys. Think about it.
Republicans feel abandoned by the go along get along RINO's. In fact, Republicans are so frustrated at the pathetic majority of GOP elected officials that they are saying to pollsters that they support Trump - to send a message to the RINO's. This is bad news for the GOP establishment candidates like Bush, Lyndsey Graham, etc. I think it's good news for conservative reformers.
