This is HOUSTON we’re talking about. A blot of blue in a sea of red. Same with that other Texas aberration — Austin.

How is that?

You must also remember that Houston is the home district of Sheila Jackson-Lee. Lots of stupid people in Houston.

Mayor Parker is 59 years old and married to Kathy Hubbard -another locally born lesbian. In the twelve years prior to her election in 2010 Parker was a closet lesbian and had long hair (not the current, short queer look). This longer hair style helped Parker not to appear as a lesbian thus hindering the average voters ability to realize Parker was queer. Additionally, in the months before that first Mayors race Parker made it a point not to mention that she was a lesbian.

Parker also purchased television and print ad space in 2010 stating her credentials that she had served as an at-large member of the Houston City Council from 1998 to 2003 and city controller from 2004 to 2010. In those television ads Parker still had the longer hairstyle. As stated, this most assuredly helped Parker deceitfully fool Houston voters. In the weeks following that first term election, conservative radio personalities flat out stated that Parker had intentionally fooled Houston voters.

Soon after Parker won her first term in 2010 as Mayor, she cut her hair short for the lesbian look and began making public statements that she supported the homosexual community of Houston. After winning that first run for Houston Mayor in 2010 Parker even gloated (on the radio) that she had 'fooled' the public. Parker defended this tactic stating that she fully understood that her winning the election for Mayor would be in jeopardy if she let it be known that she was a queer and living with the Kathy Hubbard lesbian as her roommate of 15 years. Parker and Hubbard have married now. Why this lesbian was able to win two more terms as Mayor -I'd say that not enough Houston area voters got out to vote for another candidate or they were too lazy to get out and vote. And obviously, all the the queers in the LGBT community here voted for Parker in all three of Parkers races for Mayor.

Last year Parker announced that Houston is a sanctuary city. Just this week it has been on Houston's local news that this Parker administration has now amassed a 12.3 billion dollar debt.* Because of term limits, Parker can not run for another term as Mayor. Hopefully a heterosexual will win the race for Mayor this coming November.
