the biggest problem with life is unattended consequences. the biggest problem with liberalism is that they have ideas that sound great but just don’t work and have some very horrible unattended consequences when they are implemented. I have a big problem with the concept of a minimum wage the way the democrats want to do it but I still feel that there should be some wage laws to prevent abuse of the have not’s from those that have.
Why?
No matter how low, a minimum wage will always cause minimally-skilled people who want (and need) a job to not have one.
As a general rule, employers will pay, and employees will accept, what they're worth. Trying to tinker with the market around the margins invariably ends up distorting it and creating more harm than good.
