yea they don’t realize the have already lost their argument when they throw around the terms racists and homophobes to everyone they disagree with. Most clear thinking people automatically discount everything such a writer states after that point.
Godwin’s law: (`the first side to use the word “Nazis” and compare their opponent to Nazis—loses’) would pretty much result in Pat never losing an argument.
However, since this law fails to include a great number of the pejoratives the left loves to use, resulting in their intent: “poisoning the well” right off the bat and in their minds winning the shouting/insult contest ... we need another shorthand term to describe a situation where a lefty is committing defamation diarrhea so that we can move on to more productive endeavors.
An old West term might work: `Slanging’. It usually preceded gunplay. Since we can’t do that any more (damn) we can save ourselves the aggravation of dealing with midgets like these defaming Buchanan, e.g. `Oh. You’re slanging. Since I can’t shoot you, you’re going to have to “argue” with/degrade yourself. Goodbye.’
