Nothing would be cooler than decapitating an intruder with a shotgun.Had a co-worker who missed at in the same room distance. Bird shot took off the left side of the guy's face. He ran out and died in a neighbors yard. The co-worker didn't enjoy the experience so much. It did stop the guy from sneaking in in the middle of the night and touching his daughters.

Bird shot took off the left side of the guy's face.Never underestimate the potential for bird shot to strip meat off of bones (and pulverize bone) at close range. Those pellets are moving as a mass close in and haven't spread out yet.
