Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has tied the Senate in knots into the weekend with his parliamentary maneuvers on a bill funding highway programs. The U.S. Senate is embroiled in a battle between leadership and conservatives that is getting ugly and personal.
Sen. Cruz has offered something called a Third Degree Amendment. That means nothing to most people. In plain English Senator Cruz is digging in to lead the fight against the Senate Republican leadership to end the Export Import Bank and the Third Degree Amendment is his tool to fight.
New fronts in the battle are expected to be opened up on the highway bill this weekend over the issues of repealing Obamacare, Planned Parenthood funding and President Obamas Iran deal. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rand Paul (R-KY) are expected to join the fight. The leadership will be using allies in the media to fire away at Cruz and his band of Senate conservatives.

Give me a break. Very little money has been spent and no debates have been held. The dynamics will continue to change. Who was in the lead 4 years ago, Michele Bachmann? How will Trump handle Santuckabee, Russia is, Perry, and Bush coordinating attacks and exposing his social liberalism and flip flopping? I appreciate what Trump is doing for this race, but only one candidate is conservative across the board and can talk to it.
Cruz has no interest in being Vice President. Cruz is doing what is right for the American people, including supporting Trump on issues when Trump is correct.
It's a battle between someone who actually did his work in school -vs- the Bluto Blutarskis.
Just imagine Ted Cruz as Attorneys General. Just imagine.
I cant see that because it would be too much of step down when Ted Cruz is President. I am sure that he will appoint someone very talented and qualified however.

Outstanding! Senator Cruz is busy taking his boots to the rotting foundation of the Republican Congress, while Trump is drawing the fire of the media. It should work. :-)
