Repeal everything Obama has done it’s good for the country.
Unless I’m missing something, this has nothing to do with obamacare it is about the Imp/Ex Bank. The bill is pulled, voted down or vetoed and the Imp/Ex Bank goes down with it. that gives Cruz et al another shot at dissolving it. Did I miss something in my analysis?
It is too early for my brain to untangle this, more coffee please........
This is a lot of hot air and legislative mumbo jumbo. Everyone Knows that Obama would veto anything that repeals Obamacare.
Can there phones be lit up with calls?
obamacare is not about to be repealed. The Republican Party will not allow it. All this noise about repealing it is baloney pure and simple. It is just to pacify the sheep. The Republicans had their chance to repeal[defund actually] it and refused . Anytime their sheep get restless, a Republican politician will either say, “I am going to repeal obamacare!” or say “I will introduce a Bill to repeal obamacare”! And the sheep will calm down.
A majority of 2/3 of each House is necessary to attain obamacare repeal. This ploy is just to get the Ex-Im bank rechartered.
The Uniparty loves 0bamacare because of:
1) Corporatism: Helps their corporate donors get costs of healthcare off their books.
2) Power: Centralizes Government power over whether people even get to live.
First, I DO NOT favor obongo care. I do however favor some kind of health care reform. We just can’t tolerate a system that absorbs so much of the economy and that has so much waste and abuse.
I have what should be perfectly obvious question though... IF, and I do mean IF, obongo care is repealed, what takes its place? Do we just suddenly go back to the way things were?
What happens to rates? Do they stay at the same higher levels? Probably.
Certainly a good thing to go away would be all the invasive medical records. But, what happens now to all the forced investment made in this crap? Who pays for it? Simple answer, you and I do... the money has been spent.
And the list of questions goes on.
So the big question hanging in the air is... IF obongo care is repealed, what takes its place?
Empty posturing.
I fee secure in the knowledge that Mitch McConnell will bump noggins with Harry Reid and kill this deal.
I don’t trust McConnell or any gop leadership.
I think McConnell and other gop leaders are just playing to the media and trying to make themselves look like they are doing something.
Think what Cruz said just this week about McConnell lying and also this from Cruzs book.
Cruz on leadership corruption and sellout......
That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, Were asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.
Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, thats what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because were scared of this issue. We dont want to have a political fight on this.
But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.
Now, I was sitting there to be honest, I hadnt gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, Theres no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, Ill fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.
If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.
Of course, there’s still a 67 vote threshold for overriding the inevitable veto.
At this time nothing more than a tar baby protected by Obama’s veto pen.......
God bless Mike Lee AND Ted Cruz. I pray they and their families stay safe.
With this bunch I’m not holding my breath.
